Strong, integrated annual fund programs are the key to all other advancement efforts. In addition to raising critical revenue, a coordinated annual giving program allows an organization to develop a base of accurate information about its constituents, offers an opportunity for regular communication about their interests and concerns, and provides a vehicle to inform constituents of the organization's latest accomplishments. Organizing and implementing an annual campaign is an ongoing challenge, especially for new staff. The NJSG can step in, assess a department, draft a plan and help initiate a successful annual fund drive that will strengthen the financial success of the organization now and well into the future.

During the assessment, our firm will:
1) Assess growth history of dollars raised and participation over the past five years.
2) Create cost-effective fundraising budgets.
3) Evaluate current programs and identify areas of potential.
4) Identify contributed income goals.
5) Prepare a comprehensive ongoing development plan.

A comprehensive Annual Campaign Assessment will include a review of the following:

  • Volunteer committee structure, membership and level of involvement
  • Current committee members and giving history
  • Ability to articulate a compelling case for support
  • Mission and vision statements
  • Staff organizational chart
  • Analysis of the past five years' fundraising results
  • Current components of the annual plan: planned giving, major gifts, phone-a-thon, direct mail, special events, corporate/foundation, individual support
  • Special events: dates, audience, net income, numbers attending, and cultivation plan
  • Volunteer leadership annual giving
  • Copies of annual campaign appeal letters and brochures for the previous three years
  • Copies of response cards and development collateral materials
